Revived for the first time in 70 years and made with locally sourced ingredients, Maruto’s naturally brewed soy sauce is the bedrock of our cuisine.

TAGA is the name for the bamboo hoops that were used to shape and strengthen soy sauce barrels. They played an important role in preserving the barrels, and also served as a symbol connecting the local ingredients and the brewers.

In the Maruto Soy Sauce family, there is a tradition of passing down the name “藤-Fuji-“ from generation to generation. This represents the responsibility of not only preserving the family legacy but also ensuring the taste and quality of our soy sauce.

Tawaramoto, the birthplace of rice cultivation in the Yamato region. You will enjoy plenty of ingredients grown in this area blessed by abundant nature.
For example, an ancient peach that is said to ward off evil, a peach whose seeds have been found in the ruins of this area.

During summer, you can enjoy a chilled watermelon cooled with well water, as you sit on the veranda and take in the evening breeze.
90% of the watermelons grown in Japan come from seeds produced in Tawaramoto, making it the birthplace of watermelons.
